How we make money

Every calculator on QuiltMath is free, fully functional, and always will be. Here is the funding picture, stated plainly because trust is cheaper to keep than to win back.

Today

The site currently earns nothing; it is in its first season, funded by King Winston Media as a long-term project. There are no ads, no affiliate links, and no premium tier.

The plan

As traffic grows, we intend to add two revenue sources. First, display advertising through an ad network, placed around the content but never inside a calculator; the tool experience stays clean. Second, occasional affiliate links to quilting supplies (rotary cutters, rulers, batting, wide backing) relevant to your results; if you buy through such a link, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and every page containing affiliate links will say so clearly.

What we will not do

We will not paywall a calculator, require an account to see results, sell your data, or let an advertiser influence a formula. The math answers to published quilting references and our test suite, not to sponsors.

Why tell you this

Because a tool you rely on for purchasing decisions should be transparent about its incentives. Ours are simple: be the most trustworthy quilting calculator on the internet, and the rest follows.
