Privacy policy

The short version: your quilt measurements never leave your device, we collect only basic anonymous analytics, and we sell nothing about you to anyone.

Your calculator inputs stay on your device

Every calculator on QuiltMath runs entirely in your browser. When you enter quilt dimensions, strip widths, or shirt counts, those numbers are processed by JavaScript on your own device and are never transmitted to our servers. We could not see your quilt measurements if we wanted to, and we do not want to.

What we do collect

Standard web analytics: which pages are visited, approximate geographic region (country or city level), device type, browser type, and how visitors arrive at the site. This data is aggregated and anonymous; it tells us "the backing calculator is popular in Ohio," never "this specific person calculated backing for a queen quilt." We use Google Analytics (GA4) for this purpose. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also processes standard server logs (IP addresses, request data) as part of delivering the site securely.

Cookies

QuiltMath uses cookies only for analytics as described above. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites. If display advertising is added in the future, advertising partners may set cookies for ad delivery and measurement; this policy will be updated before that happens, and visitors in regions requiring consent will see a consent prompt.

Third-party services

Google Analytics (GA4) for anonymous usage statistics, Cloudflare for hosting and security, and Google Fonts for typography. Each processes data under its own privacy policy: see Google's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not run third-party trackers beyond these.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data, and to object to processing. If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale; we do not sell personal information. Because our analytics are anonymous and aggregated, we typically hold no data that identifies you, but we will honor any request to the extent data exists: write to hello@quiltmath.net.

Children

QuiltMath is a general audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change (for example, when advertising is introduced), this page will be updated and the date below revised before the change takes effect.
